Who we are?
Our dogs work alongside professionals to help reduce stress, social isolation and anxiety to improve mental health.
We are a non-profit organisation founded in 2020 currently covering Frome, Shepton Mallet, Coleford, Westbury and Warminster.
What we do?
We offer animal assisted therapy, animal assisted interventions and animal assisted education. Our volunteers visit people in their own homes, hospitals, care homes and schools to support people through activities, education and professional therapy with the help of our dogs.
Pets, especially dogs, can reduce stress, anxiety and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and playfulness. And this counts for every human being – from the little ones up to the elderly. However, not everyone can have their own pet.
That’s where we help out!
Our dogs love listening to children read, help encourage reluctant school goers into the classroom and have fun in assembly. We visit people in their own homes this helps to reduce isolation and anxiety, as well as, visit hospitals to cheer up a patients day, to give them something to look forward too. We also have a program to support our Ambulance Service recover from stressful situations.
Let our best friend put a smile on your face!
